Brainstorming

Our first step during this design journey was to figure out what we wanted to create. The group had to agree, and be interested in the project. There had to be a real need that our design can satisfy which can be aligned with the UN sustainability goals. It was not easy and our group changed direction twice.

Miro Board

Our group created a Miro board to organize the elements needed for the iterative process. We uploaded and recorded every step taken toward producing the IADThub app.

You can view the full board here.

Idea Napkin

We created an Idea Napkin to help our team detail a solution idea that was selected during a brainstorming session. The napkin includes the idea name, a sketch of the idea, the target group, the innovative aspect of the idea, and the value of the idea for the target users.

Affinity Diagram

We created an affinity diagram (AD) to help our group to develop our system of thought about the IADThub app.

The benefit of an AD is that it can be used at any stage of the design process when a large amount of information needs to be generated and organised. We created ours after the Idea Napkin to have a more in-depth view of the effects of the app we envisaged, the functions we would like to include, the problems we might encounter, and how we wanted to improve the access to diverse sources of information.
