Ethics: Amber route
Our project classified as amber due to the specifics detailed in the following points. Our team had direct interaction with people during user testing this involves moderate risk.
There was no external agency involved beyond IADT itself, therefore, no permission was required from any other agencies.
The user testing did not involve animals, sensitive topics such as poverty, bodily harm, crime, religion, or people in custody.
The data collection methods applied were user testing and questionnare. Vulnerable peple were not involved.
Participants in the user testing phase were fully informed and consented. No deception was involved. The participants were free to leave the testing at any time.
An information sheet, a consent form and a debrief document were provided for the participants.
